Miller Music offers guitar lessons farmington CT in both acoustic and electric guitar. We offer lessons in our Farmington, CT studio as well as online. We teach the following styles for students from beginner to advanced.

Styles Taught

-Rock
-Jazz
-Blues
-Classical

-Worship

Age Levels
Six years old to adult. Generally, we recommend that students be at least 6 years old for guitar lessons. This is because it requires a little more physical strength and coordination to play the instrument. That being said, it also depends somewhat on an individual’s body size.

Teaching Pedagogy
We tailor each lesson to the student’s interests and level. Each and every student learns differently and has individual strengths and interests. Our goal is to develop these strengths while teaching the fundamentals of music theory and reading.

Practice Recommendations
We recommend that each student practice for 20 to 30 minutes per day, five days a week. This allows for the maximum benefit and enjoyment from taking lessons.
